Instant Silicon

Advantages of using instant silicon:

1. The melting speed is extremely fast, the response is quick, which could save time.

2. Silicon content is up to 95%, which can accurately control the amount of silicon added, and configure any proportion of aluminum-silicon alloy quickly.

3. It is very convenient to use, just put it on the surface of molten aluminum, press it in and stir.

4. It is an ideal replacement product for aluminum-silicon alloys. It eliminates a large number of inclusions and harmful substances that are easy to be brought into by aluminum-silicon alloys, and avoids the uncontrollable influence on the quality of aluminum alloys caused by the use of waste aluminum to prepare aluminum-silicon alloys.

5. It could greatly reduce the melting temperature and the melting time, it also could greatly reduce the cost of alloy ingredients. 

6. The recovery rate is greater than 90%.

Applications: Any casting or wrought aluminum alloy containing silicon. 

Operating temperature: 740-770°C (the higher the temperature, the better the effect)

Calculation method of addition amount: [Si content (%) required in the alloy - the original Si content (%) in the alloy)]  / (Si element content in additive (95%) × yield (90%))*  weight of the solution

How to use: After all the furnace materials are melted, stir well and take samples for analysis. Calculate the amount of fast instant silicon based on the analysis results. When the aluminum liquid reaches 740-770°C (the process of adding silicon is an endothermic reaction, it must be heated to keep the temperature of the melt not lower than 740°C), throw the instant silicon agent on the surface of the aluminum liquid, and press the bell jar into the aluminum liquid and stir for 2-5 minutes.
